The total population of Serbia on 1 January 2016 stood at 7,076,400. Its population declined by 38,000 in 2015.
As of 1 January 2016, the core Jewish population of Serbia was estimated to be 1,400 (0.02% of the wider population), and the enlarged Jewish population was estimated at 2,800 (0.04% of the wider population).
An estimated 3,500 Serbians qualify for Israeli citizenship under the Law of Return.
The majority of the Serbian Jewish community is concentrated in Belgrade.
