JPR at Queen’s University Belfast

JPR Research Fellow, Dr Donatella Casale Mashiah, was in Belfast last week to present her current research on Jewish charities in England and Wales to a conference organised by the Centre for Not-For-Profit and Public Sector Research at Queen’s University Belfast.

Dr Casale presented the results of the research based on her analysis of 1,301 Jewish charities registered with the Charity Commission of England and Wales, focusing on the trends in income in the sector between 1995 and 2015. Her research showed that the sector grew in terms of income over the past 20 years at a real average annual rate of over 6%.

The conference was attended by international experts in the fields of non-profit organisations management and accounting, public and private sector management and entrepreneurship from Germany, Belgium, Norway, Australia, UK, Poland and Ireland. We are looking to publish the final results of the research in 2018.
